Toby Jug Portland Street was demolished in 1973 and this photo is believed to be just prior to demolition in 1973. The pub is described as being half way down Portland Street and has a house to the right numbered 9. Ornate leadwork canopies adorn the entrance and the bay windows with other windows having striped fabric external blinds. A newspaper has been delivered and sticks out of the lounge bar door's letterbox. It's said that the street's existence spanned only a hundred years
