The Pall Tavern, Yeovil in or just before 1975. Earlier this was the Pall Hotel run by Brutton's Beers, her it is the Pall Tavern, a Berni Inn (There is the iconic Berni Inn wine glass next to the words "Steak Bar" and a Berni projector above the two-way traffic sign). It is believed that under Bass it remained as the Pall Tavern as it is today (2020) and still going strong. The present building, in a Georgian style was built in 1836 but it's beleived a pub has stood on the site since at least 1769. The Pall's gallow sign shows the Pall cloth, allowed to be used (at a cost) by parishoners at their funerals. People of Yeovil will no doubt know what the steel framed structure is that is being built in the background and where exactly that construction crane is.
