The White Lion, Langport, photographed here in 1973 when it was a Bass Charrington House, dates probably from c. 1786 according to the website british-history.ac.uk. Researched in 2020 and found to be closed and now a B&B. An up to date 2020 picture shows the canopy still there and the glass above door says White Lion. The gates to the right of this picture are rotting in 2020 and supported by boarding behind the slats.
